The chamber of secrets

Ooh, I kinda forgot that Chamber of Secrets is the funniest book of the series. Most credits to Gilderoy of course. The movie did not do enough justice to him. He was quite funny, yes, but a lot of memorable stuff got lost in the translation I suppose.

We all have our chamber of secrets. Probably (more like definitely) not the one like Salazar Slytherin built but something/someplace in our heart/mind where we have stuffed a few happy little secrets, shoved our dark, unsavory thoughts or actions and a lot of feelings that could not be shared or expressed due to the circumstances or limitations.

What starts off as a small bundle of eclectic stuff gradually and sometimes exponentially grows into an unwieldy infinitude. And at some point, it becomes so similar to a basilisk that looking at its eyes may take your life (excuse the exaggeration). Won't it be better to not let it get so huge instead?

Once we understand the issue at hand, maybe we could start addressing things one tiny bundle at a time and fix it if we can or just let go.

We have seen time and again that not everything is in our control. There's no use worrying about something that we know for a fact that we can't change. So why think about it, give it space and time? Let it go.

Let it gooooo (Belting off like Elsa)

Yup, started with HP and ending with Frozen, I'm becoming Benjamin Button, yes! (Ollivander would say Curious! Very curious! But I'm neither Harry nor Voldemort :P)

And I forgot talking about the good stuff like sweet gestures from someone that no one else noticed and we don't feel like sharing, tiny mischiefs and naughty stuff that we accomplished successfully without getting caught, etc. Keep them, nourish them and let them grow. They'll probably grow into a flowering plant or a fruitful tree. Let that tree take root and grow tall and wide and I hope it lights up whenever it is dark outside.

July 31st draws near

I tend to be unusually active around this time of the year. No prizes if you guess the reason correctly. I mean it's plenty obvious, it's Harry's birthday.

Though I did write a little bit before I started reading the books, I did write a little more after reading the series. And I always find it easy to write around this time. Interesting content or not, I don't really know, but something flows like a fountain and tis the season.

Lately though I have started feeling if I should keep up with the Potter stuff. 30 draws closer and 25 feels long gone. I'm getting older and maybe I am way old for this.

But I definitely will not let go of HP completely. It has become a part of me, part of who I am, part of how I express things. So yes, this is going to be a continuum. But I'll try to write about other things as well.

And I've decided to put up one post everyday. Yup, every single day. Idk if I'll be able to keep this up, maybe this is a good habit to have after all.

Here's to seeing you all again tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next and so on..

To new habits🥂

Ramblings from a night, long long ago..

I dug a real deep hole for myself, like a rabbit burrowing down, looking for comfort and warmth
And I got real comfortable, maybe just a little too much, like a frog in a boiling pot - enjoying the tiny bubbles
All these years of personal anguish has fallen like debris on top
And the scalding vapour is starting to finally get to me
Now I have no other choice but to claw myself out of the hole
And climb on top of the hubris
And I need to do this one step at time
To keep my acrophobia in check
What am I gonna find on the top? Where am I gonna end up?
On the sky?
With the stars?
With the Sun and the Moon?
Under the clouds that brood dark overhead and rain thunderstorms?
Or under a pile of more dust and dirt?
Or is it a void devoid of sound and light?
Or is it simply gonna be freedom?
The freedom of choice.

Valentine's Day

Ah, it is Valentine's Day. For all the couples, Happy V Day! Have fun :)

For people like me, people who're in love but it's one sided, people who just don't care( Ha ha, I probably covered this ground with people like me, but some don't know me. Okay, a lot of you don't know me :P ), I'm posting this playlist.

There's Mad Max Fury Road premiering on HBO at 9. If you wanna watch that instead I'm not gonna tell you no. I myself am gonna watch it now.

If you have nothing else to do or something you can do with music playing in the background, then this playlist is for you. Also, if you are a Rahmaniac, then this is definitely for you.

Don't worry if you are not able to celebrate your love for some person. You can always celebrate your love for books, music, TV, movies and all the fun stuff.

I'm celebrating my love for music here.

The songs listed are in no particular order. Just enjoy falling in love with them.

*Kaadhal Sadugudu -- Alaipayuthey
This is one of the most romantic songs. Love the video, love the movie, love the actors (Duh..). The music, the lyrics and the rendition, whoa, love <3 Especially the waves kinda sound in the song. Absolute bliss.

*Sanda Kozhi -- Ayudha Ezhuthu
This song, this goose prickles creating, heart beat raising, makes you feel like you are flying song. You've gotta listen to it if you haven't before. You have already? Doesn't hurt listening again :P The lyrics are good, the rendition better, the part where ARR sings, the best..!! Love it, love it, love it!

*Nenjinile -- Uyire
One Janaki's song I completely love. No offense, but I'm not exactly a fan of her voice. This song though. The lyrics are a bit, you know. I mean, a good you know ;) It'll probably take you a while to understand. There's a bit Malayalam in it I did not get that, but I sing the song, all parts :D

*Nenjam Ellam -- Ayudha Ezhuthu
Another song with the lyrics a bit "you know". But this is one of the *awesomest* songs. Love it for the music and the lyrics. Not a fan of Esha Deol :P The music is a new level of sexiness. It just oozes love, the chemistry and physics and zoology :P You listen to it, you'll understand.

*Arabic Kadaloram -- Bombay
Whoahhh, the music!! ARR's the hero here. The rendition is super awesome. There's one part in the song, one between the stanzas, there's this music, it just takes you places, places high and higher. The lyrics, niiicee ;)

*Pudhu Vellai Mazhai -- Roja
The music! I don't know what instrument that is, but it is just mind blowing. The lyrics are also super awesome. This is ARR's first movie and this is one of my beloved songs. Can't really love anything more.

The list would just go on and on and on.. But I don't wanna write a novel about these songs, I would if I could, but I don't think I can describe these well enough. I'm not doing any justice to them. Just listen to all of these. I prefer wearing headphones/earphones. That way it's easy to get lost in the music.

Gone Girl

Gone Girl - The movie

Wow, watched the movie last night and the one thing that popped out in the end was "Gone Girl is a crazy new level of mindf***".

Damn, I watched it late at night and went to sleep but I couldn't. I was just lying there pondering about the story and the incidents and such. According to me, if any movie makes you think about it, makes you use your brain to wonder about it after you watch the movie, then it is a good movie. That means you haven't just wasted your time on nothing.

I know it's a thriller and all and that it's not exactly a horror movie. But the movie got me scared. Whoa, that's what kept me awake for a long time. The fact that it is possible in real life scared me a lot.

I know it's adapted from a novel and I am thinking the novel will be even more scarier because a lot of the context will be left to our imagination and I will imagine the worst thing almost every time.

I like Ben Affleck and he did suit the role well (though I have huge doubts about him "suiting" a "certain  role"). I should say I liked Argo better. Don't know why exactly, maybe because of the length of the movie. Gone Girl is a tad too long.

Rosamund Pike - the perfect match. She was absolutely perfect as Amy Dunne.

They did not use Neil Patrick Harris well enough, I mean we all know what he is capable of, our beloved Barney.

Overall good job by David Fincher, the cast and yes the screenplay was awesome!

I'd recommend y'all to watch it once.

p.s I was very careful not to give away any spoilers, so there's not much detailed description

Happy Birthday Loverrrrrr :*

Happy Birthday Loverrrrr :*

Today is the birthday of my first love. Whom, you ask? He's none other than the boy wizard who slowly but steadily crept into my heart and now he has a  permanent space in there, forever!

You haven't found the answer yet? Any of you? Any guesses?

Well I ain't gonna give you guys a prize or something for getting it right. Yup, Yuppitty yup yup it is Daniel Radcliffe.

For the ones who have no idea who he is, he is "Harry Potter" and if there's anyone who doesn't know who Harry Potter is, sorry can't help ya. Maybe you don't have anything to read here. You can just skip this.

Damn, Dan is 26!! He seems so older, more mature all of a sudden..

Nay! He will always be the little kid we all grew up with. The one neighbor we've watched out of our windows(TV, Computer, Mobile, etc.) or the one who lived across from us for an hour or two(Theatre/Cinema however you call the movies). We have traveled with him to Surrey, Diagon Alley, Kingscross Station, Hogwarts and many more places.

He will always be the first crush/love for a whole lot of us. Yeah, I know that there are a lot of you out in the world.

I can never imagine anyone else playing the role of Harry Potter. It is almost like he was born to play Harry.

Dude, I'd binge watch the HP movies any day just for you. I don't deny that I am a big ol' Potterhead. Just saying.

I watched the movie "Kill your Darlings" just for my man Dan! (yay, that rhymed xD)
I can swear to that. I watched the movie on YouTube on my mobile. My arms hurt an awful lot, it did not matter.

Dan! If you ever stop acting luv, become a rapper. Man, you have got some mad skills at that.

All things said, there is only one thing left to say right now..

I Love You Daniel Radcliffe!! Will you marry me??

xD nah man!!! It's cool. Just Kidding xD xD
There are obvious height issues you see :P

Seriously though, Love you :*

Happy Birthday :) :)

Harry Potter - The Poem

A tall and skinny boy he is,
A thin scar on his forehead is.
The famous lightning shaped one,
For this will be occurring to none.
The one who defeated the Dark Lord,
When he didn't even understand his gaurd.
With jet-black hair that is never tidy,
Living in a cup-board that's ever untidy.
He is the boxing bag for fat Dudley,
And in secrets he is really meddley.
The one who kills the basilisk,
And tends to take many a risk.
His God Father is Sirius,
He never takes things serious.
He loves to deal with mystery,
And already he is in History!

Bear with me if you find this silly, this was written way back in 2004. I think this is the best I could come up with at that time. Maybe this is the best of all times. There's more to come.. Happy reading Potteroos :D ;) Well, others too :) Have fun you all :P
